The story behind Sailinity

Sailinity is led by Mérouane Delaporte, a professional sailor and former semi-pro racer with more than one and a half world tours at sea.

At 18, reading La Longue Route by Bernard Moitessier changed his path entirely and pushed him to leave Paris to dedicate his life to the ocean. Delivery skipper, captain, semi-professional racer… year after year, Mérouane built his expertise offshore and along the coasts.

After thousands of miles sailed, he finally settled in French Polynesia with a clear intention:

to share the pure sensation of sailing powered only by the wind,

and to offer a modern, sincere and accessible approach to sailing.

A boat with a unique history

The Sailinity catamaran has a singular identity.

Originally designed in Australia under the name “66” for the Airlie Beach Race Week,
it won the regatta several times before being shipped to French Polynesia.
Once in Raiatea, it underwent a complete refit carried out by Mérouane, with a clear goal:
➡️ preserve its technical qualities and finesse under sail
➡️ while adapting it to passenger comfort and safety.

The boat was upgraded with:

an integrated audio system

a deck shower

dedicated safety fittings

a modernized design

many details tailored for lagoon sailing

Today, Sailinity is a lightweight, responsive catamaran perfectly suited to the conditions of Raiatea and Taha’a. A boat with both a sporty spirit and a welcoming character.
