A racing sailboat built to surf the lagoon
The Sailinity catamaran now offers peaceful excursions on the lagoon of Raiatea and Taha’a… but it is capable of far more.
Born in Australia under the name “66,” this sailboat was designed for competition and won the Airlie Beach Race Week several times — one of Queensland’s most iconic regattas. After its victories, it was shipped to French Polynesia to begin a new chapter on another lagoon.
Today, Sailinity starts a second life: now classified as a Commercial Vessel (NUC) and refitted for passenger comfort and safety, this former racing boat has kept its finesse, lightness, and sailing performance. A unique sailboat capable of offering both smooth, silent navigation… and high-adrenaline sensations during our sport outings.
Snorkeling, coral gardens, and crystal-clear waters
The lagoon of Raiatea and Taha’a is known for its pristine coral gardens, colorful tropical fish, and incredible shades of blue that shift as you sail. It is a true marine sanctuary of French Polynesia, ideal for exploring underwater life in a peaceful setting, far from crowded areas.
Most of our excursions include a snorkeling stop, with equipment provided so everyone can explore the marine world comfortably. During our half-day tours, we anchor by a motu where you can swim in perfectly clear water, follow the coral formations, and observe butterflyfish, surgeonfish, parrotfish, and bright damselfish.
On our full-day private tours, the experience goes even further: we can arrange a meal or picnic on a motu, in a postcard setting with your feet in the sand and views of the lagoon or Bora Bora. Between sailing, relaxing on white-sand beaches, and snorkeling highlights, each outing offers a complete immersion in the natural beauty of Raiatea and Taha’a.
